PARKING REMINDERS In order to ensure the safety of our students, parents are asked not to enter the school parking lot unless they are dropping off or picking up Kindergarten students, those attending Breakfast Club, or injured/ill students. When using this lot, please take great care in reversing your vehicle as we have had many near misses with vehicles entering our lot. Please do not park at the front of the lot closest to the crossing guards (under the trees) as this screens their visibility. Please do not proceed past the signs to the back half of the lot as this is for staff parking only. Please stay clear of the bus loading area in front of the school at dismissal time. DO NOT pass the bus if the lights are flashing. There is absolutely no parking directly in front of the school. Bylaw officers will ticket you. Overnight parking is not permitted and your vehicle will be towed. This is private property and the snow plow must have clear access.
SAFETY AND SECURITY AT PIONEER PARK We strive to make our school the safest place for our students and staff. In order to do this effectively, we require all visitors to our building to sign-in at the office and wear a visitor’s badge. This policy extends to everyone, including parents and guardians. If you are signing your child in at the office we ask that you say your goodbyes and let them proceed to their classroom on their own. If you are picking them up at the end of the day, please prearrange a pickup spot outside. If you must pick up your child from the bus line, you are also required to come in and inform the office of your intention. Your cooperation is sincerely appreciated.
